“SmartSilver is poised to become one of the hottest ingredient brands in the performance apparel industry,” said Dennis Schneider, Director of Sales and Marketing, NanoHorizons. “Our nanotechnology is doing for odor control what GORE-TEX has done for moisture management. We anticipate many performance apparel products to tout SmartSilver by summer of 2007.”

“Our ads feature the SmartSilver hang tag as the star of the ad,” said Kevin Hart, VP and Creative Director at Hart-Boillot. “The hang tag communicates SmartSilver’s key messages quickly and effectively, using a familiar vehicle designed to attract the conventional fabric and apparel manufacturers.”

In addition to the ads, Hart-Boillot developed the SmartSilver logo, brand guidelines, hang tag, sew-in label, sock wrap and brochure. SmartSilver, launched early in 2006 through a PR campaign managed by Hart-Boillot, has garnered attention from worldwide media outlets ranging from The Wall Street Journal to Japanese and Italian press, and even a Dutch television station.

NanoHorizons’ SmartSilver product line uses nanoscale engineering to provide permanent antimicrobial and anti-odor protection for fibers and fabrics. Initial products that incorporate SmartSilver include gloves, socks, long underwear and golf shirts. The company is not disclosing the brands that have purchased SmartSilver for use in their clothes – you’ll just have to look for them on the shelf!
